Vidya P. Phoenix, M.D. is a board-certified, a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist. She specializes in comprehensive medical and surgical pediatric eye care. Her special interests include early diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia and strabismus. Prior to joining Thomas Eye Group, Dr. Phoenix practiced pediatric ophthalmology in southeast Atlanta where her hospital affiliations included Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Southern Regional Medical Center. Dr. Phoenix has completed extensive research and presentations in the areas of pediatric ocular trauma and bilateral congenital cataracts among other topics, and her work has been published in several ophthalmology journals.
