  Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal

  Urology and Urogynecology Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

  Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal is the first and only fellowship trained FPMRS/Urogynecology/Female urology specialist in the entire Gwinnett county and one of the few in the entire Atlanta area. He believes in providing compassionate, patient centered and personalized approach to his patients. Dr. Aggarwal is a skilled robotic surgeon, an expert in male/female urinary and fecal incontinence (NO-MESH techniques), Robotic and vaginal pelvic floor reconstruction using NO-MESH techniques (using patient’s own tissues), pelvic/urethral mesh removal, urodynamics, neurourology, erectile dysfunction, male urethral stricture disease as well as in general urology and urooncology. Dr. Aggarwal is board certified in Urology as well has subspecialty certification of FPMRS/Urogynecology/Female urology. He completed his medical education and a surgical residency in India, a surgical internship at Duke University, a urology residency at the Albany Medical Center, NY, and an ACGME accredited fellowship in FPMRS from one of the top programs at UT Southwestern, Texas. Dr. Aggarwal received several honors during his education, has presented extensively at many conferences and published extensively in national and international journals including 5 book chapters and more than 30 journal articles.

  Dr. Naveen Arora

  Urology and Urologic Surgery Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery

  Dr. Naveen Arora earned his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he graduated at the top 10% of his class. He completed his General Surgery internship and Urologic Surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Akron General residency program. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Arora, pursued further specialized training by completing a Fellowship in Urologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center at the Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Arora specializes in all areas of urology; he has a particular interest in benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stone disease, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, and in all aspects of urologic oncology (bladder, prostate, kidney, testes, penile, adrenal). He has gained a tremendous amount of experience and training in complex operations such as da Vinci robotic assisted prostatectomy, robotic partial and radical nephrectomy, robotic adrenalectomy, robotic pelvic reconstruction for prolapse disease, and robotic cystectomy with both intracorporeal and extracorporeal urinary diversions. Dr. Arora is a true advocate for his patients and passionate about giving his patients the highest level of care and the best possible outcomes. While a Fellow, he was integral in the development of an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery program in the Carolinas Medical Center Urology Department. This innovative program allowed for enhanced outcomes in his patients including faster recovery and quicker return to activities. He has published multiple articles and presented at many national meetings in the urologic community. Dr. Arora is a strong believer that effective communication, physician attentiveness, and patient centered decision making is essential and integral in bringing the highest quality of life and care for his patients.

  Dr. Mukesh Patel

  Urology and Urologic Surgery Diplomate, American Board of Urology

  Dr. Mukesh Patel has lived with his family in metro Atlanta for over 25 years. While practicing urology full time in Gwinnett County, he has been a pioneer in organizing community health fairs and promoting a healthy lifestyle for all. Raised in a family of physicians, Dr. Patel practices the holistic lifestyle that he advocates through the talks and presentations he gives at various civic groups and organizations. He is an active member of the medical staff at the Eastside Medical Center in Snellville and the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville; and he volunteers his services at these facilities by participating on several committees and in community health screening events. From 2000 to 2010, Dr. Patel served as the Chairman of the Board of Gujarati Samaj, the largest non-profit Indian cultural organization in Atlanta, which has a membership of almost 1,000 families. This organization now has a well-established community center in Gwinnett County. It offers programs for children, youth groups, adults and senior citizens, as well as educational scholarships for college-bound students. Today, Dr. Patel serves as an active member of the American Urological Association and the Medical Association of Georgia. He is also a Board member of the Indian American Urological Association and the Baroda Medical College Alumni Association. In addition to providing medical educational opportunities, these volunteer organizations facilitate free health care for poor and needy members of the community. Dr. Patel holds a graduate degree in medicine and surgery and a Master’s degree in general surgery from M.S. University in Baroda, India. Since completing an additional six years of training in urology at The State University of New York, he has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. An avid ALTA level “A” tennis player, he enjoys photography, table tennis, badminton and traveling around the world trying to learn the customs and cultures of many civilizations.
